Wouldn’t it be nice to pay less for gas? With the gas prices reaching $4 and possibly going up to $6 a gallon in the near future, it’s probably something on everyones’ mind. That being the case, here is a great list of ways you can pay less for gas.

Shop Around- There are several websites that will list the gas stations in your area and their prices for gas. All you have to do is put in your zip code and it will show gas stations within a certain amount of miles of your area. This is a great tool because people are helping each other out with it. Whenever you see a new price you can just post it and let others know that so and so (gas station name) is selling gas for so many cents cheaper.

Test it Out- As you drive around, keep track of your mileage for wherever you are going. On top of that keep track of how much gas you are getting and how long it is lasting. This way you can plan better, and save gas when making trips. It might not be a way to pay less for gas but you will be saving.

Maintenance- Stay on top of the maintenance your vehicle needs. Keep in mind you should get a tune up at least once a year, and you need oil changes as well. An oil change should be done every 3,000 or so miles. Also make sure your tires have enough air in them.

Pay Inside- Some gas stations might give you a discount if you pay inside or if you pay with cash. The reason being is they like you to come inside and see what else they have to offer. They make most of their money by selling the over priced goodies inside than they do gas. If you are willing to tempt yourself by walking inside they might give you a discount and you can pay less for gas.

Additionally you might want to consider getting some Ethos. The formula works great as a way to pay less for gas, and it is risk free as well. The company has been in business for a good 10 years and have tested Ethos thoroughly in laboratories to make sure it works.

It is a great way to pay less for gas because the gas you buy will last you so much longer. Think about it, it can give you up to 20% more gas. That means if you normally get 400 miles to the tank, you will get 480 miles. Just think of how many more times you could drive to work and back on that extra 80 miles. Even if it is only once, that’s a great way to save on gas.

With the price of gas these days we are all wondering how to save on gas costs. It doesn’t matter where you live, or what you do really, because gas prices seem to affect all of us. With that in mind here is some information on how to save on gas costs.

Drive Less- This is really just common sense, but try to drive less. Put a little more thought into where you are going and what you need to get done. Instead of making several trips out and about, make on trip and get everything done. This is one idea on how to save on gas costs, but also on how to save time.

Lighten Up- If you have things in your trunk or your truck bed that weigh a bit, take them out. Only have them in there when you need them. The more your vehicle weighs the more gas it uses to go. Why waste gas when you can save time and money by only carting these things around when you have to?

Downgrade- Over the past few years SUV’s have become very popular vehicles. It seems everyone who is anyone has an SUV now. But keep in mind these things can guzzle fuel with the best of them. Even Honda CR-V’s only get 23ish miles per gallon. When smaller cars can get up to 30 miles a gallon. That really is a big difference, and if you don’t need the extra room of the SUV, it just might be something you want to consider.

Walk or Bike- If you are going someplace local, use your feet or a bicycle. Most of us have never put too much thought into running to the store (with a car) even when the store is down the street. Take the time to walk instead or ride a bike and save some money on gas. You will also get the much needed exercise most of the U.S. is missing out on.

Car Pool- This isn’t just something done in California to save on highway space, it is done to save on gas now too. Find out when others in your area are going out and about. Find out where people you work with live and how you could all work together to save gas and pollution.

Pay Cash- Several gas stations around the country have been giving people a deal on gas if they can pay with cash. The reason being is when they get paid in cash, they don’t have to pay the credit card companies for the convenience for the customers. Some gas stations are having customers pay anywhere from 2 to 7 cents less a gallon if they pay with cash. It all adds up in the end, so try to bring cash the next time you fill up.

You can find more information on how to save on gas costs just by doing some research on the net. Additionally you might consider checking out a new product called Ethos that will also help you save on gas, it might not bring down the price per gallon, but it will make each gallon last longer.
